Coffee with C.S. Lewis | Some Wise Guy

C.S. Lewis

It?s really difficult to sit down in a cafe and enjoy a cup of Joe with someone who?s been dead for nearly 50 years. However, I got the next best thing.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of enjoying some refreshing iced Starbucks beverages with a man who graduated from Oxford, was president of the C.S. Lewis Society and actually lived in the iconic author?s house.

Yeah, that?s right. My new friend, Ryan Pemberton, lived in C.S. Lewis?s house.

Ryan has an amazing story and has been a Wise Guy feature here on the blog before.

Basically, he fell in love with the writings of C.S. Lewis, ditched his corporate job, packed up his life and left for Oxford with his new bride (after being excepted into the prestigious institution of higher learning of course).

Who does that?!

Someone who is passionate about their dream and willing to chase it.

Ryan and I had a great visit talking about writing projects and family (we are both expecting little girls this fall). It was truly an honor to finally meet him in person after connecting on social media and I?m excited to see what happens next in his story (yet another reason why I think Twitter and blogging are awesome).

Today, I have two simple questions for you:

1. Do you have a dream worth chasing? Are you?
2. Who?s house would you like to live in?
