Newsmakers: Sharon Wendell serving term on oil and gas association board

Sharon K. Wendell (pictured), an associate in the Houston office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, says she began serving a three-year term on the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers board of directors in January.

Wendell, who says she is one of only two women serving on the 60-member board, will attend her first meeting during the 2013 Alliance expo and annual meeting April 23-24 in Wichita Falls. With about 3,350 members, the Texas Alliance is the largest independent oil and gas association in the nation, she says.

Wendell says she joined Vorys when the firm opened its Houston office in February 2009. While her practice focuses on litigation, Wendell says she has experience in oil and gas matters.
